YOUR DOORSTEP

Those special seasons I long for Lord
The instants when you took me along
Your paths of holiness, secrets in awe
Revealing to me what's hidden and more

Your heart so tender; any careless word
Might do harm like the two-edged sword
That cuts flesh and marrow of the bone
But not you heart so used to it all

Truth is the ever-present daily bread
Your holiness and glory need not to upgrade
No unmasking and no revealing
The light of your truth does the healing

Pain or release, rejection or oneness, knowledge or ignorance
I choose whatever; a whiff of your fragrance, the holy essence
The righteous and pure the fresh and ever new
I long for you Lord, it's you I'll stick to like a glue

Take me along those paths once known but forgotten now
Refresh, renew and reveal the truth the pledge and the vow
Heaven’s laws, knowledge once fathomed please now impart
I won’t move nor budge, from your doorstep I'll never depart.

STRENGTH OF THIS LINE

When torment begins comforts provided
When suffering breaks out you cannot fight it
But gently fall, like a leaf... on the silky pillowcase
Ease you pain beside the fire or... in the fireplace

There is your escape unknown to your kin
To scholars of the unknown skilled in the unseen
They won’t find you there no matter what the ploy
Fire burns and kills, but not all, for you it’s to enjoy

The wicked fries and shrinks in pain
The righteous basks and welcomes the flame
The hidden truth is found in wind and thunder,
In tempest, in time need, in thirst and hunger

When that fool laughs and bends in scorn
The wise keeps filling his barns with corn
New wine and bread grace his white spread
The golden lamp, the blue, scarlet and red

The golden goblet runs over with wine
Never savored, exquisitely refined... and it is mine
The chalice is mine the table and spread
Those barns of corn and plenty of bread

Why suffering, disease or ill, why pain?
Why sin and hurt, why malice, why stain?
You're here to arise and conquer it all
Triumph over hurdles that’s the heavenly law

IF YOU WERE A ROCK

If you were a rock I would not touch you
If you were a stone I'd never lift you
But because you're mere dust I'll shield you
Of course I will wheeze you,

I’ll spin you through my corridors
You're not a rock; just stand on one
You are not a lion; just have one inside
You're nothing but a horse I'm riding

Changing places, situations, shine My light and bless
Crossing seas and land till you return, whereas,
You know the heights; you know the lows, tears and stress
You know My hiding place no war and no need for fighting

You're not the mighty just serve the Almighty
You are a chalice that overflows with sweet wine
Each time I use you others spread tables ready to dine
You're a depiction upon this earth a channel of Mine

HOW LONG?

How long O Lord tempest must rage
How long free birds must die in a cage
Eagles once free nestling on peeks
Now fallen to earth with broken wings

How long the innocent must be oppressed
The wicked increase seemingly blessed?
How long the homeless sees adversities?
The orphan and widow lack necessities?

The answer: till time's no more and death defeated
Nights fade away and suffering's deleted
When graves are opened with light all around
And when you hear the mighty trumpet's sound

All clad in white to judge the liars
Then I shall come with my overcomers
From ancient days from long time ago
We'll come; then death will be no more
